SmartLabs was founded in 2008 when a father and son entrepreneur duo recognised a need in the South African schooling system for educational software. We soon realised that the need stretched well beyond software when we realised that most schools don’t have the infrastructure to properly teach science and computer studies. Since then, we have become one of the leading school laboratory equipment suppliers in sub-Saharan Africa.

We decided to address this need and in 2009 the Science Cart was born. This Cart is like a mobile laboratory filled with everything a science teacher could need. It is much more cost-effective than any traditional method of constructing a laboratory in a school and thus saves money, time and effort on the part of the school administration.
